Return Air Cans the fitting to use when you need to put a return air register in the wall or ceiling to return the air to your furnace. Duct Installation Tips & Tricks — Cut the proper size hole in the back of the return air can and install a Start Collar. Attach the return air can securely to the framing members with nails or screws. You may want to attach a 90 degree elbow or 45 degree elbow to the round collar that you installed on the return air can, then attach your Flexible duct or Sheet Metal Duct to the elbow. This will provide the best possible airflow for your HVAC systems efficiency. We recommend that you seal the seams with a duct sealant after installation to prevent any air leakage, to increase the efficiency of your heating and air conditioning system, and reduce your utility bills.
